What happens above the limit

Nothing is switched off. Calls above your included volume are billed per call — €0.02 on Starter, €0.01 on Premium. You get an email at 80 % and at 100 % of your quota, so an upgrade stays a decision and never becomes a surprise. On the free tier calls are rejected at the limit (429) rather than billed.
